Edmonton tourist places

Edmonton, the cosmopolitan capital of Alberta hosts many popular cultural events and arts festivals that will keep you busy. There are many things to do in Edmonton, from arts and culture to shopping and sports, the choices are endless! Visitors to Edmonton can start their trip with West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest entertainment and shopping complex and home to over eight hundred shops. You can combine shopping with several entertainments to enrich your visit as beyond shopping, the 48-square-block-large complex offers numerous cinemas, the World Waterpark, an ice arena, an indoor amusement park, sea lions, and a hotel.

For art lovers, a trip to the Downtown Arts District can be exciting as you catch a play at the Citadel, Canada’s largest non-profit theatre, check out great Albertan and international art at the Art Gallery of Alberta, or hear for yourself the phenomenal acoustics of the Winspear Centre, home of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Spend your evening in the heart of Edmonton where there is the river valley, a lush green belt that is Canada’s largest urban park. Hundreds of kilometers of maintained trails and facilities permit year-round activity: hiking, running, cycling, roller-blading, plus cross-country skiing and ice skating in the wintertime.
